This redirect category (Rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from codes. Add this Rcat to a redirect page in the following manner:

#REDIRECT [[Target page name]] {{R from code}}

This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.

The template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and other appropriate Rcats to a redirect.
This redirect template is to be placed on a redirect from a code to a related article or topic.
Several other Rcat templates are used for redirects from specific types of codes and should be used instead of this template if the code is one of such:
- For calling codes, use {{R from calling code}}.
- For airport codes, use {{R from airport code}}.
- For postal codes, such as ZIP codes, use {{R from postal code}}.
  - For United Kingdom postal codes specifically, use {{R from UK postcode}}.
- For postal abbreviations, use {{R from postal abbreviation}}.
  - For United States postal abbreviations specifically, use {{R from US postal abbreviation}}.
- For citations of legal cases, use {{R from case citation}}.
- For ATC (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical) codes, use {{R from ATC code}} or {{R from ATCvet code}}, depending on the code.
- For ISO codes, use {{R from ISO 639}} (for language codes), {{R from ISO 3166}} (for geographic codes), or {{R from ISO 15924}} (for script codes), depending on the code.
