This is a redirect from a Wikipedia shortcut. Shortcuts are generally reserved for Wikipedia project pages, their discussion pages and categories.

Usage

This redirect category (Rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from shortcuts. At some point in the future, Jimmy Wales wants to make a printed version of the full Wikipedia encyclopedia, and Mainspace shortcuts are not suitable for a printed version. If the shortcut is in the Main article namespace, then the Unprintworthy redirects category is also populated.

• Add this Rcat to a redirect in the following manner:

#REDIRECT [[(Target page name)]] {{R from shortcut}}

This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.

• Template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and other appropriate Rcats to a redirect.
• Use this Rcat on any redirect from a Wikipedia (WP:, MOS:, etc.) shortcut. These shortcuts are generally reserved for Wikipedia project pages, their discussion and help pages, and categories. If the redirect is a shortcut to the Template namespace, then use {{R from template shortcut}} instead.
